Some of the leading proponents of plasma cosmology are Hannes Alfvén, Eric Lerner, Anthony Peratt, and Truls Lynne Hansen.
Plasma cosmology, an alternative to the Big Bang theory, originated from the work of Hannes Alfvén [1908-1995]. Alfvén is a physics Nobel laureate.
Eric J. Lerner (b. 1947) currently heads the Focus Fusion Society. Lerner is the author of a controversial book, The Big Bang Never Happened (1991).
Anthony Peratt is an electrical engineer with a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California. He was a graduate student of Alfvén. Peratt is currently connected with the Los Alamos National Laboratory.
Truls Lynne Hansen is the head of the Tromsø Geophysical Observatory in Norway.
