'Cosmology Quest' -- Plasma cosmology video
Universe: The Cosmology Quest is the definitive video for those interested in plasma cosmology.
Plasma cosmology says that electromagnetism rather than gravitation explains better the observations in astronomy. Plasma cosmology disputes the big bang theory. It advocates instead a variant of the steady state theory (i.e., eternal universe).

The wiki article on this seems fairly good and with some useful links for further study.

Conclusions
"No proposal based on plasma cosmology trying to explain the cosmic microwave background radiation has been published since COBE results were announced. Proposed explanations are relying on integrated starlight and do not provide any indication of how to explain that the observed angular anisotropies of CMB power spectrum is (so low as) one part in 105. The sensitivity and resolution of the measurement of these anisotropies was greatly advanced by WMAP. The fact that the CMB was measured to be so isotropic, inline with the predictions of the big bang model, was subsequently heralded as a major confirmation of the Big Bang model to the detriment of alternatives.[25] These measurements showed the "acoustic peaks" were fit with high accuracy by the predictions of the Big Bang model and conditions of the early universe.
Plasma cosmology is not considered by the astronomical community to be a viable alternative to the Big Bang, and even its advocates agree the explanations it provides for phenomena are less detailed than those of conventional cosmology[citation needed]. As such, plasma cosmology has remained sidelined and viewed in the community as a proposal unworthy of serious consideration."

That above wikipedia article is very misleading, the administrators for that page seem to be obsessed with the (now) ancient version of PC, and have not let any of the recent work be put up there. For an uncensored version of the article, see this one; http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Plasma_cosmology&oldid=88918621
At least when you read that one you get an idea what the main concepts behind plasma cosmology are.
"Overview.
Plasma cosmology posits that the most important feature of the universe is that the matter it contains is composed almost entirely of astrophysical plasma. The state of matter known as plasma is an electrically-conductive collection of charged particles, possibly together with neutral particles or dust, that exhibits collective behavior and that responds as a whole to electromagnetic forces. The charged particles are usually ions and electrons resulting from heating a gas. Stars and the interstellar medium are composed of plasma of different densities. Plasma physics is uncontroversially accepted to play an important role in many astrophysical phenomena.
The basic assumptions of plasma cosmology which differ from standard cosmology are:
1. Since the universe is nearly all plasma, electromagnetic forces are equal in importance with gravitation on all scales.[10].
2. An origin in time for the universe is rejected,[11] due to causality arguments and rejection of ex nihilo models as a stealth form of creationism.[12]
3. Since every part of the universe we observe is evolving, it assumes that the universe itself is evolving as well, though a scalar expansion as predicted from the FRW metric is not accepted as part of this evolution (see static universe).
Plasma cosmology advocates emphasize the links between physical processes observable in laboratories on Earth and those that govern the cosmos; as many cosmological processes as possible are explained by the behavior of a plasma in the laboratory.[13] Proponents contrast this with the big bang theory which has over the course of its existence required the introduction of such features as inflation, dark matter and dark energy that have not been detectable yet in laboratory experiments."

And you might want to add the second series, also unploaded by the same user. That one actually has some plasma cosmology material, as opposed to the above ones which are primarily about Arps work and problems with the Big Bang.

I now offer proof that the CMB is actually a 'map' of galaxies in a plasma universe. In the same body of work that is now defined as a GUT, I give you the generator (power source) for the EMF around every galaxy- the Mother Rock.
See it at You tube.com 'cosmic bubbles/mother rock'. more to follow

EXPERIMENTS IN THE LABORATORY?
The limited nature of all dimensions, physical quantities and energies we operate with in the lab is so dwarfed in all respects when compared to cosmological quantities that to pretend we can do experiments in a lab that will tell us how matter behaves at those scales is utterly ludicrous.
